PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how FOLLOW ME FRIGHT ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you visit or make a purchase from followmefright.com (the "Site"), use the FollowMeFright iOS companion application (the "App"), or otherwise communicate with us (collectively, the "Services"). The information we handle depends on whether you interact with the Site, the App, or customer support.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "you" and "your" means you as a user of the Services, whether you are a customer, website visitor, App user, or another individual whose information we handle under this Privacy Policy.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.
CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on the Site, update the "Last updated" date, and take any other steps required by applicable law.
HOW WE COLLECT AND USE PERSONAL INFORMATION
The information we collect and use varies depending on how you interact with the Services. In addition to the specific uses described below, we may use information we collect to communicate with you, provide or improve the Services, comply with legal obligations, enforce applicable terms, and protect the Services, our rights, and the rights of our users or others.
FOLLOWMEFRIGHT IOS APP
The FollowMeFright iOS App controls compatible FollowMeFright hardware using Bluetooth and the user's local network. The App does not require a FollowMeFright account and does not contain advertising, third-party analytics, cross-app tracking, or third-party crash-reporting software.
Information handled locally
We do not receive personal information or usage data merely because you use the App. The App handles the following information locally on your iPhone or exchanges it directly with equipment you select:
• Wi-Fi setup information. During controller setup, you may enter a Wi-Fi network name and password. The password is encrypted for compatibility with the controller's provisioning protocol and sent over Bluetooth to the selected controller. The iPhone App does not save the Wi-Fi password. The controller uses the credential to connect to the selected network.
• Current Wi-Fi network name. If you grant permission, iOS may provide the name of the Wi-Fi network currently joined by your iPhone. You may instead enter the network name manually. The App does not request or read latitude or longitude coordinates.
• Controller information. The App may save the controller's local IP address, hostname, model, hardware variant, firmware version, capabilities, and device-specific preferences so it can reconnect and provide the appropriate controls.
• Controller activity. Controller status, radar target positions, tracking ranges, movement presets, lighting settings, calibration status, and firmware-update status are processed to provide requested controls and live displays. Radar target information is not designed to identify a particular person.
• Philips Hue information. If you enable Philips Hue integration, the App may save the Hue Bridge's local IP address, a locally issued application username, lighting configuration, and information about lights made available through your controller.
• App preferences. Settings such as selected effects and presets may be stored on your device.
Locally stored information remains until you reset the relevant settings or remove the App. It may also be included in device backups according to your Apple device and backup settings.
App permissions
• Bluetooth is used to find nearby FollowMeFright controllers and provide Wi-Fi setup information.
• Local Network is used to communicate with your controller and optional Philips Hue equipment.
• Location When In Use may be requested because iOS requires authorization before an app can obtain the current Wi-Fi network name. FollowMeFright does not use this permission to obtain geographic coordinates.
You can manage these permissions through iOS Settings. Denying location permission does not prevent manual entry of the Wi-Fi network name.
Local-network communications and security
After setup, the App communicates with the controller's local HTTP interface. Commands and status information remain on networks capable of reaching the controller; the App does not provide remote internet control. You should use the product only on a trusted local network and keep the controller's firmware current.
No method of electronic communication or storage is completely secure. We maintain the App to use platform permissions and limit information handling to the features described in this Privacy Policy.
App data collection, sale, sharing, and tracking
The App does not transmit controller information, Wi-Fi information, radar activity, Philips Hue information, or App usage information to FOLLOW ME FRIGHT, advertising networks, analytics providers, or data brokers. We do not sell or share information handled locally by the App for targeted advertising, and the App does not track users across apps or websites.
This statement applies to the App itself. If you visit the Site in a browser or contact us for support, the Site and support-data practices described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy apply.
App support communications
If you contact us for App support, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, device model, controller model, firmware version, screenshots, and problem description. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, protect the Services, and meet legal obligations. Do not send Wi-Fi passwords, Philips Hue credentials, or other secrets. You may ask us to delete a support conversation unless we must retain it for security, legal, or recordkeeping purposes.
Third-party equipment and platform services
Apple may process information independently when providing the App Store, iOS permissions, device backups, and related platform services. If you enable Philips Hue integration, your Hue Bridge and related equipment operate under the terms, notices, and settings applicable to those products. FollowMeFright is provided by us and is not a Signify app, product, or service. This Privacy Policy does not control the independent practices of Apple, Signify, or other third parties.

COOKIES
Like many websites, the Site uses Cookies. For information about Cookies used to power the Shopify store, visit https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies.
We use Cookies to operate and improve the Site and Services, remember actions and preferences, understand user interaction, administer and optimize the Services, and support advertising where permitted. We may permit service providers and business or marketing partners to use Cookies on the Site to provide services and tailor products or advertising on the Site and other websites.
Most browsers accept Cookies by default. You can set your browser to remove or reject Cookies, although doing so may cause some Site features to function incorrectly or become unavailable. Blocking Cookies may not completely prevent information sharing with third parties such as advertising partners.
The Site recognizes the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Where applicable, we treat a GPC signal as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising for the associated browser or device. If Shopify can associate the device with a Shopify account, the preference may also be applied to that account. Learn more at https://globalprivacycontrol.org/. Other than GPC, we do not recognize other "Do Not Track" signals.
The FollowMeFright iOS App does not use advertising or analytics Cookies. If you open the Site in a browser, the Site's Cookie practices apply.

Where applicable and permitted, the categories involved during the preceding 12 months may have included identifiers such as name, email address, and phone number; commercial information such as products or services purchased; and Site Usage Data. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the privacy, security, accuracy, completeness, or reliability of third-party services. Information posted in public or semi-public venues, including third-party social networks, may be visible to other users and may be used by us or third parties without limitation. A link does not by itself imply endorsement.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Services and the FollowMeFright iOS App are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us to request deletion.

Information saved locally by the App remains subject to the App-retention description above and is not part of our Site or commerce records unless you separately provide it to us, such as in a support request.
